ABSTRACT

Identity theft is growing problem not only in India, but also in many other countries. With the advent of digital technology and the widespread use of the internet, identity thieves have new and sophisticated methods at their disposal to steal personal information and commit fraud. This article will explore the issue of identity theft in India and other countries, providing an overview of the problem, its causes, and its consequences. We will also examine the methods used by identity thieves, and offer practical tips and strategies to protect yourself from becoming a victim of this crime. Finally, we will discuss the legal framework and remedies available for identity theft victims, as well as future trends and emerging threats in the field of identity theft.
